2 Weight Loss Hacks! Beans For Dinner. Apple Before Meal. Dr Greger

Dr Greger’s new book How Not To Diet is
quote a treasure trove of buried data and cutting-edge dietary research that Dr Greger
has translated into accessible, actionable advice with exciting tools and tricks that
will help you to safely lose weight and eliminate unwanted body fat – for good. He breaks down a variety of approaches to
weight loss, honing in on the optimal criteria that enable success, including: a diet high
in fibre and water, a diet low in fat, salt, and sugar, and diet full of anti-inflammatory
foods. Now vinegar and in particular Apple cider
vinegar is extremely popular said to be able to boost the immune system, lower your blood
sugar levels and improve digestion. And interestingly this study found that participants
consuming two tablespoons of vinegar a day lost five pounds and almost an inch of their
waist in 12 weeks. They lost abdominal fat roughly a square inch
of visceral fat. Made all the more impressive by the fact that
they didn’t have to change or remove anything from their diet. In the second half of his book How Not To
Diet Dr Greger presents little tweaks, hacks and techniques that you can do regardless
of what you eat where you can accelerate fat burning. The first half of the book he goes through
what he calls the 17 ingredients of an optimal weight loss diet. In a two recent videos Dr Greger shared two
weight loss hacks that included beans and apples. All the original links are in the description. [Dr Greger] Study subjects were served pasta
and told to eat as much or as little as they’d like and on average they consumed about 900
calories of pasta but hey give people a large apple to eat before that same pasta meal and
rather than consuming 200 calories less it was more like 300 calories less so how many
calories does an apple have? It depends on when you eat it. Before a meal an apple could effectively have
about negative 200 calories. For example eating beans for dinner, split
peas, chickpeas and lentils we feed them they feed us right back they actually have an appetite
suppressing effect and so for example eating beans for dinner you can decrease the appetite
at lunch the next day. So more than 12 hours later so you have a
bean burrito at night,12 hours later your gut bugs are eating that same bean burrito
producing these appetite suppressing compounds and you actually eat significantly less at
the lunch you just feel full many calories earlier because you ate beans the night before
really remarkable effects like that, that’s why it’s important to feed our good gut
bugs in terms of helping us achieve optimal weight control.
